Old World vs. New World. What does it mean? Essentially, it refers to where wines hail from, and if they’re making those wines in a traditional way or with new wine-making methods.
Old world wine countries include: France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Germany while New World wines are represented by the United States, Australia, South Africa, Chile, Argentina, and New Zealand to name a few.
