Anacapa is named after one of the eight Channel Islands located off of California's Central and Southern Coast. Distinct from the other islands, Anacapa, at high tide, is actually three islets, "East", "Middle" and "West". As the Pacific recedes, though, the islets transition into one island. 2017 is a Bordeaux-style blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 25% Petit Verdot. Aromas of nutmeg, clove, dried blueberries and coffee beans, accompanied by flavors of black cherry, dried cranberry and cocoa. This Bordeaux style wine yields a beautiful texture of lush, velvety tannins, and provides an elegant well-rounded finish.
