Berthollier 2016 Chignin-Bergeron Exception, Savoie, France
Available: Only 4 left in stock$32.99
This white grape varietal is known as Roussane in the Rhone and most of the world but in the Savoie region of France the grape is known as Bergeron. The Bertholier brothers Denis & Didier farm organically without the use of chemicals. This wine has powerful aromas of dried apricots, honey, white peach and exotic fruit underlined by a hint of spice and smokiness. Dried apricot on the palate with candied fruit and citrus with an underlying richness. Fresh with a slight spiciness and superb minerality. Serve chilled with appetizers of cured salmon, pickled herring, rich soft cheese, goat cheese or Roquefort.
