Domus Hortae

Red 1- 2020 Domus Hortae Mentore, Puglia, Italy - From the heel of Italy’s boot, Puglia, this red wine is a blend of two popular grapes from the region, Nero di Troia and Primitivo. Actually, in California we know primitivo by another name: Zinfandel. This mixture of the dark black fruits of the zinfandel/primitivo with the local nero di troia creates an intriguing flavor of fresh garden herbs mashed with blackberries; that makes you come back for more. The varietes were vinified separately, blended three months before bottling, and then rested four months in bottles.

Pair it with hearty stews, tomato-based pasta dishes, roasted meats & vegetables.

Drink or Hold: Beautifully drinkable now; will continue to evolve through 2028. Serve at 60–65°F.

Tardano Garnacha

Red 2 - 2022 La Portera Tardano Garnacha, Almonacid de la Sierra, Aragon, Spain
The grapes are sourced from two parcels in the village of Almonacid de la Sierra which sit on limestone and clay soils. The vines were planted in 1983 and sit 2100 ft. above sea level. This is a unique take on Garnacha. Full of red cherry, raspberry, licorice and hints of pepper, it is a medium bodied wine that is far from the big and over-extracted style of old-school Spanish Garnacha. Fresh and spicy, with layers of complexity that lure us back for more.

Pair it with This wine pairs well with barbecue and most salty appetizers. It's fabulous for Thanksgiving.

Drink or Hold: Excellent now for freshness and vibrancy, Serve at 55–65°F. A short 20 minute aeration will help expand the aromatics.

Tardano Macabeo

White 1 – 2022 La Portera Tardano Macabeo, Almonacid de la Sierra, Aragon, Spain
Made primarily from Macabeo grapes with a small portion of Garnacha Blanca, grown in Almonacid de la Sierra, Spain. Founded by Jorge Navascués, Javier del Blanco, and Francisco Santiso in 2017, this small project focuses on authentic winemaking that showcases terroir and grape varieties. The wine undergoes fermentation with indigenous yeasts and aging in neutral concrete vessels, creating elegant expressions that highlight the natural characteristics of these traditional Spanish white grape varieties. The wine is a light straw yellow color with greenish hues. Nose reveals fresh citrus fruits, green apple, pear, and white floral notes with subtle tropical accents. Palate shows balanced acidity, textured mouthfeel, and harmonious fruit integration with saline minerality and a clean, refreshing finish.

Pair it excellently with grilled fish, seafood, summer salads, mild poultry. Perfect with traditional Spanish paella valenciana featuring saffron and Mediterranean ingredients.

Drink or Hold: Meant for freshness, best now through 2028. Serve at 45–50°F. No decanting necessary.

Nada Langhe NBianco

White 2- 2023 Nada Armonia Langhe Bianco, Piemonte, Italy
A Piedmontese white with terrific aromatics and a textured body, the latter coming from low yields and a very low addition of SO2 rather than any oak aging (it's raised in steel) or battonage. This wine is bottled early and does not undergo malolactic fermentation. Armonia means harmony, in this case between the different varieties, their strengths, acidities, and perfumes.  The color is pale straw yellow with golden reflections. The scent is floral and reminiscent of yeast and bread crust; the Sauvignon provides intense and floral aromas while the Arneis gives body, minerality and volume. The flavor is rich, savory and fresh.

Pair it with -It is a very full-bodied white that stands out for its very intense aromas, excellent for grilled seafood, light pasta dishes and robust cheeses.

Drink or Hold: It expresses its best within 5 years of bottling. Serve at 50–55°F.

Splitrail

Red 1 – 2023 Split Rail Grenache Horse Heaven Hills, Washington
Sometimes we forget to see the diamonds that life deals us. We don’t stop and look at the sky or the horizon. But once we do, we see all the leprechauns and gold and gemstones reflected across the electromagnetic spectrum. The rare beauty balancing right there on our mustaches. Grenache is one of those pearls of light. It is the jeweled goblet of raspberry rain nestled just beneath your raincloud. 2019 Fletchers

Red 2 - 2019 Westerly Fletcher's Red Happy Canyon, Santa Barbara County, California
A rich, full-bodied Bordeaux-style blend, featuring Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and other red grapes, known for intense dark fruit (plum, blackberry), spice (pepper, tobacco), coffee, and walnut notes, with high acidity and firm tannins, offering complexity and aging potential. It's described as a powerful, statement-making red, showcasing the distinctive terroir of the Happy Canyon AVA. 

Pair it with roasted root vegetables, or wild mushroom risotto, rib roast, tri-tip, and London broil. It's great for Thanksgiving.

Drink or Hold: Excellently evolving now with robust  vibrancy, with potential to age to 2035. Serve at 58–66°F. Decanting for 45min-1hour will please the palate!

The Vice Elise

White

2023 The Vice Elise Chardonnay, napa Valley, California
Nutty with notes of crushed apple and lemon pith, this subtle Chardonnay offers lighter flavors and a moderate finish. This third batch of Chardonnay was crafted in a traditional Burgundian style for the modern enthusiast. Melon, Asian pear and golden apple dominates the nose with hints of buttered popcorn and citrus blossom. Corn on the cob and walnut flavors lead the entrance while tangerine, lemon curd and vanilla make way for the silky, lengthy finish.

Pair it with Baked Brie with carmelized apples or pears, chèvre and beet salad, or lemon-herb chicken.

Drink or Hold: Best through 2030. Serve at 48–60°F.

Eva pemper

Pinot 1 - 2022 Eva Pemper Pinot Noir – Marlborough, New Zealand
This is a highly concentrated Pinot Noir from low yielding vines. This single vineyard wine displays rich dark fruit aromas of cherries and plums together with smoky and earthy undertones. Full bodied with immense depth of fruit flavours layered with forest floor complexity and great tannin structure. The densely layered palate of this wine shows all the complexity and richness of flavours making it ripe yet elegant wine with great structure and a juicy finish.

Pair it with roast duck, cedar-plank salmon, or wild mushroom risotto. It's awesome for a Thanksgiving vino!

The Vice Tories Vyd

Pinot 22024 The Vice Torie's Vineyard, Carneros, Napa Valley

Torie’s vineyard is one of the most Northeastern vineyards in Carneros, right on the foothills of Mount Veeder and Mayacamas mountains. The bowl-shaped topography of the vineyard keeps it warm during the cooler months and cool during warm season. This unique feature creates the perfect ripening elements that contribute to the crafting of a World Class Pinot Noir.

Bursting from the glass with Bing cherry, cedarwood, brown baking spices, espresso bean, and clove, it is a riper wine yet still retains plenty of elegance. Notes of red florals and blood orange carry through on the long, sumptuous finish.

Pair it with cedar plank salmon, charcuterie, roasted chicken, or Gruyère tart.

Drink or Hold: For optimal enjoyment, we suggest affording 5-10 minutes of aeration before serving it cool (58°-62° F). This is an age-worthy Pinot that will mature through 2035.

Clay Shannon Red

Red 1 – 2023 Clay Shannon Red Blend, Lake County, California
(45% Cabernet Franc, 29% Petit Verdot, 22% Merlot, 4% Petite Sirah) A harmonious blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc for spicy notes, with Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon adding elegance, power, and structure. Enjoy rich flavors of coffee, cacao, sage, dark chocolate, and ripe fruit for a bold, impressive palate.

Pair it with Grilled and roasted meats, hard aged cheeses

Bourdieu

Bubbles 1 Bourdieu Brut Cremant de Bordeaux, Entre-deux-Mers, Bordeaux, France

Normally Crémants de Bordeaux aren't that exciting, and usually considered not as good as other Crémants of France, but this one is impressive, thanks to the impeccable farming and mineral-laded soils.  Dry and refreshing with honeyed apple and pear notes, fine bubbles and a firm structure, and a tart, minerally finish.  Bonus points for being organic pioneer in a very conventional region.  The perfect all-purpose classic bubble for everything holiday.

Pair it with most appetizers, raw oysters, shellfish, vegetable tartare, fruit, and chocolate desserts.

G Spark

Bubbles 2 – La Lieff G Spark Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc

This vibrant and refreshing sparkling Sauvignon Blanc is made in the Petillant Natural Style, stainless steel fermentation with minimal intervention or additives during the wine making process. It was bottled near the end of fermentation to capture the natural bubbles, and was bottled, riddled and disgorged all by hand.

Pair it with light appetizers, raw oysters, shellfish, vegetable tartare, fruit, and chocolate desserts.

The Legend

Red 12023 The Vice Cabernet Franc The Legend, Los Carneros, Napa Valley

Spiced and sandalwood aromatics combine with flavors of sweet plum and dark fruits for a richly flavored and robust Cabernet Franc. Smooth tannins and a long finish make the wine lush and attractive.

Pair it with Chateaubriand, Moroccan lamb tagine, braised short ribs, or truffled mushroom dishes. Also with hard aged cheese and cured meats.

Drink or Hold: The 2020 vintage is considered a standout year for Bordeaux.  Drink now with 1–2 hours decant; age through 2040. Serve at 60–65°F.

Cowboy Monkey

Red 2 2022 The Vice Malbec Cowboy Monkey, Coombsville, Napa Valley

A short drive from Downtown Napa. Rolling hills, west facing sun exposure, constant bay breezes and rich mineral volcanic soil allow our Malbec grapes to ripen to their peak potential. California Certified Organic Farming (CCOF).  A floral bouquet of violet with cherry cola aromas are present on the nose. The palate is focused with a cassis and blueberry paste core, supported by mulled spice and graphite filled finish. This wine has weight, but stays driven thanks to its acidity. A real deal beauty.

Pair it with - Hard Cheeses, turkey meatloaf from Manhattan Meats, Tuscan rib roast, aged Gouda, or Mimolette. Great for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner!

The Vice Sauvignon B

White2024 The Vice Sauvignon Blanc The House batch #171, Carneros/Oakville/Rutherford, Napa Valley

Drawing inspiration from fine white Bordeauxs. Whole clusters were gently pressed, and the juice was fermented in a combination of neutral French oak barrels and concrete eggs. The wine rested on its lees for 7 months, with monthly bâtonnage to enhance texture and depth. Enticing aromas of spearmint, passionfruit, and pineapple breeze from the glass. The first sip is stunning with a captivating burst of tropical intensity, unfolding with notes of elderflower, cedar, and lime blossom that invite sip after sip. Full-bodied with a satiny texture and vibrant tension, it features layered citrus and tropical fruit that linger on a long, zesty finish.

Pair it with Absolutely oysters! seared scallops, crab cakes, medium and hard cheeses.

Drink or Hold: Brilliant now and poised to mature gracefully over the next decade. Serve at 50–55°F.
