Red 1 – 2018 Westerly Cabernet Sauvignon, Spring Mountain, Napa Valley
82% Cabernet Sauvignon 8% Cabernet Franc 5% Malbec 5% Merlot

Winemaker Notes:
A wonderful expression of a classic California wine. On the nose, hints of blackberry, dark chocolate, plum and a touch of French oak are present. To the palate, the wine is balanced, expressive and weighty with full body. Hints of anise, coffee and dried fruit give way to a beautiful textured finish with subtle tannins.

Food pairings: Steak, lamb, braised beef dishes, stews, mushroom dishes, burgers

Guidi_BernardoRosso

Red 2 – 2021 Cantine Guidi 'Bernardo' Rosso, Tuscany, Italy
80% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot

The Guidi winery was founded in 1929, with the aspiration to grow a family-run business that can stand the test of time – to pass down knowledge, culture, and tradition from generation to generation. Today, the winery is run by the 4th generation: brothers Nicola and Giacomo Guidi. The family wants to spread its own style and name and that of Tuscany and Italy all over the world, because loving wine has always meant sharing it with everyone.

Winemaker Notes: This wine has fruity notes of currants and blackberries that elegantly marry the spicy hints of nutmeg, licorice, chocolate and vanilla. On the palate, the low alcohol content is supported by an acidulous structure that gives balance and length, leaving hints of fruit and coconut on the palate.

Food pairings: Beef or lamb dishes and pastas with tomato based sauces or try this Tuscan Bean Soup

PierPaoloGrasso_LangheArneis

White 1 – 2022 Pier Paolo Grasso 'Moroso' Langhe Arneis, Piedmont, Italy

In the picturesque countryside of Barbaresco, Italy, Pier Paolo Grasso founded a renowned winery in 2000. Born into a rural family, he developed a deep connection to the land, tending fields, vineyards, and animals from a young age. The legacy of winemaking in the Grasso family was profound, with Pier Paolo's grandfather, Pietro, acquiring the first vineyards in Barbaresco in 1878. His family's legacy of winemaking inspired him to dream of creating a company solely dedicated to crafting exceptional wines.

Aged in steel tanks, the nose starts with fragrant notes of orange blossom, hawthorn and white peach then finishes with spice and some floral touches.

White 2 – 2021 Figge Family 'Woodstock' White, Santa Ynez Valley
60% Semillon, 40% Sauvignon Blanc

Small lot, hand crafted wines from our friend and neighbor, Andrew Figge

Winemaker Notes:
Tight lime and lemon-peel aromas cut into green melon and a hint of bell pepper on the nose of this bottling. The earthy palate is a bit oily in texture, with sharp citrus and smashed stone flavors. It has a light pop of nuttiness on the finish. Only 2 barrels produced.

Food pairings: Ceviche, fish tacos, sharing in the sunshine with friends.

Corazza_PinotNero

Pinot 2 – 2021 Corazza Pinot Nero, Trevenezie, Italy
100% Pinot Noir

Winemaker Notes: The Corazza Pinot Nero is a collaboration with one of Corazza’s most important wineries and follows a careful selection and study of one of the most important grapes in the world. The ties with this winery go back years, as it is located in the hometown of one of the Founders, Alex Corazza, right down the road from where he grew up! The expression of this Pinot Nero is quite different when compared to the more big bodied wines we can find on the West Coast of the United States. FanielFils_Perlane_Champs

Bubbles 1 – Champagne Faniel et Fils Perlane Brut Rosé, France
40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier

Winemaker Notes: Perlane, with its prefix reminding us of a “pearl”, is a rosé with voluptuous aromas, that holds the elegance and liveliness of a cultured pearl shining with an intense pink. Just by hearing its name, we can glimpse all the sensations we will experience in the mouth (felinity, soft effervescence, voluptuousness).

Its color is clear and shows nuances of old gold, the foam is rich and the effervescence is fine. To the nose, the wine is mature, fine and elegant, developing sweet honey, roasted and floral notes. On the palate, the attack is frank and structured, the finish evokes a good fleshy freshness expressing the richness of this cuvee.

Terrebrune_Bandol

Red 1 – 2018 Domaine de Terrebrune Bandol Rouge, Provence, France
Certified Organic
85% Mourvedre, 10% Grenache, 5% Cinsault

Importer Notes: "Terrebrune’s location less than two miles from the shoreline, in the direct path of marine breezes, makes it a Bandol unlike the others. You’ll know it before even pulling the cork—the alcohol content of 13.5% is low for a sun-kissed Mourvèdre- and Grenache-based blend, but the terroir here allows the grapes to ripen fully with less sugar accumulation than in more inland areas. For all its gracefulness and light touch, this wine is still packed with nuance, with a sturdy backbone that will allow it to keep drinking wonderfully for decades. It’s sneaky that way, kind of like when you meet Terrebrune proprietor Reynald Delille, a tall, slender, and soft-spoken man, and then learn he is a master of aikido and a highly competitive water skier." - Anthony Lynch

Food pairings: Game meats, smoked meats, dishes with caramelized onions, white pepper or cumin

LesVignesOubliees_TerrassesDuLarzac

Red 2 – 2021 Les Vignes Oubliées Terrasses du Larzac, Languedoc-Roussillon, France
Organic
60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 20% Carignan

Importers Notes: "Nestled deep in the foothills of the Cévennes mountains, the Terrasses du Larzac appellation is one of the Languedoc’s hidden treasures The Larzac plateau is an area whose name remains relatively unknown to most of the earth’s population, yet conjures up much in the mind of the French. Given its remoteness and sparse population, the Larzac became the place to be in the 1970s for the “back-to-earth” movement in France. Hippies, revolutionaries, and Luddites found cheap land and privacy on the mountainous plateau and engaged in their agricultural adventures. Working small parcels of vines planted by rebellious, off-the-grid farmers decades ago, Les Vignes Oubliées puts that spirit right into bottle. Barrel-aged in a cool grotto hidden away in the forest, this wine marries the sunny influence of the south with chewy mountain tannins and a fresh streak of cool stone. This is a wine proud, unpolished, and unique." – Chris Santini

Food pairings: Well seasoned lamb stew or hot spicy dishes, red meat, green pepper sauces, duck fillet

LePortail_Champalou_Vouvray

White – 2019 Le Portail Champlou Vouvray, Loire, France
100% Chenin Blanc

Importers Notes: "The Champalous’ Vouvray Le Portail is a Chenin Blanc from a very chalky terroir, fermented and aged in 500-liter demi-muids. The most serious and age-worthy of their dry wines, it has a depth and richness of flavor that allow it to shine alongside refined cuisine."

Winemaker Notes: Le Portail is a gastronomic wine- its fullness, opulence and fruity aromas balance each other delightfully with Crustaceans, such as the lobsters and scallops, just as with white meats and delicately spiced fish. Do not hesitate to serve Le Portail alongside a plate of cheese. It is exquisite. In order to bring out the best of its character, we advise to decant the bottle a short hour before and to serve it at 50°.
