Red 2 – 2021 Bushong 'Power Corruption & Lies' Red, Central Coast
48% Tannat, 27% Syrah, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon
Jason Bushong has been receiving rave reviews for his impressive wines and inviting, fun hangout in downtown Paso Robles. Where else are you going to find a place to sip your wine while playing on a Star Wars pinball machine? And there is a wall of vinyl for you to peruse and play on the impressive sound system. Just as cool as their setup, are their wines.
The primary grape in this blend, Tannat, is believed to have originated in the Basque region of Europe on the border between France & Spain. It is a dry, full-bodied red with high tannin. This powerful blend is bursting at the seams with rich black and red berry fruits, chewy tannins and fresh acidity.
Food pairings: Red wine-braised short ribs with cauliflower puree
White 1 – 2023 Joseph Jewell Vermentino, Raymond Burr Vineyard, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma Coast
100% Vermentino
Raymond Burr Vineyard sits in the northwestern hillsides of Dry Creek Valley just below Lake Sonoma. This 17-acre vineyard is tucked back in a small pocket valley off of West Dry Creek Road. Sourcing the entirety of the 4-acre block of Vermentino, we send the fruit directly to press, and ferment in stainless steel tanks with minimal intervention and low sulfur at bottling.
A refreshing white wine full of beeswax texture carrying flavors of honeydew melon, ripe cantaloupe, exotic kaffir lime, sweet Meyer lemon, white flowers, floral lemongrass, and crisp limestone minerality.
Food pairings: Thai and Asian influence dishes, fish tacos, oysters
Rose – 2022 Lone Madrone Points West Rosé, Templeton Gap District, Paso Robles
63% Mourvedre, 37% Grenache
Lone Madrone was founded in 1996 with the goal of producing distinctive wines from vineyards in the rugged limestone hills of Paso Robles. Dry-farmed and head-trained, all the wines are fermented with native yeasts and aged in predominantly neutral oak barrels which winemaker Neil Collins believes to be “the purest expression of the unparalleled terroir of west Paso Robles.”
Crisp and refreshing, yet complex enough to go with a variety of dishes; there's incredible texture on the palate, and lively fruit notes leaping from the glass.

Red 1 – 2021 Sinor - LaVallee Estate Syrah, San Luis Obispo County, California
100% Syrah
Mike Sinor and Cheri LaVallee acquired the ocean-view Bassi Vineyard near Avila Beach in 2013. It was the destination they’d always been seeking—a singular vineyard that they could steward with holistic and meticulous viticulture. From the crown of it, you can see the Pacific, a window into everything about this land—its morning fogs, briny air currents and steep oceanic soils. The tasting room and 'shuck-shack' is open all week in downtown Avila Beach.
Classic cool-climate Syrah aromatics offer dark tones of black olive, wild blueberry, and espresso. Beautiful fruit tones of dark cherry, blackberry, and candied violet fill the palate with an irresistible juiciness, bringing length and tension to the wine.
Food pairings: Santa Maria style Tri-tip, dishes with roasted peppers and grilled veggies

With a mission to deliver the best organic wines of the Bullas DO, Laura Ramos of Envinate fame and now Sebastian Boudon helm this project who’s focus is on ancient Monastrell grapes. Bullas is an area of great promise for the future. It is an ancient growing region that dates back to Roman times.

White – 2023 Priest Ranch Estate Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley

Priest Ranch wines are grown and made at the Somerston Estate in the Eastern Hills of Napa Valley. The eastern part of the Somerston property was originally settled by Joshua James Priest who arrived in California in 1849. Today, all the Priest Ranch wines are 100% Estate Grown and made from selected vineyard blocks that express integrated and intensely rich, yet approachable qualities. Priest Ranch wines represent the diversity and richness of the Somerston Estate.
A beautifully balanced wine that displays hints of crisp grapefruit with a splash of white peach and layers of lemon and vanilla. Because this wine has the perfect amount of acidity.
Food pairings: This would pair nicely with a rich cream sauce over spinach ricotta ravioli or seared salmon with a caper sauce.

Pinot 2 – 2022 Box Wine Company 'Black Roses' Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast, California

Winemaker Notes: "On the nose, mixed redwood forest, pine resin, with a coastal character of salt air, red delicious apple skins, blackberry, and porcini mushrooms. On the palate candied cherries, pomegranate, blood orange peel and cranberry. Mid-palate, nutmeg and cinnamon, frame out the mineral driven finish. Plenty of tannin for age worthiness, drink over the next five years. 12 months elevage."

Pinot 2 – 2021 Domaine Coteaux des Margots Bourgogne, France

The Duroussay winery is located in southern Burgundy in the heart of the Maconnais hills with the ideal solar exposition for viticulture. The vineyards for this wine are 30-40 year old vines and located right by the house. Clay and limestone soils. Haute Valeur Environmental / "Lute Raisonee"
Expressive aromas of cherry, ripe strawberries, light caramel. The palate is well-balanced between cherry and black pepper, powerful, soft tannins and good acidity. Classic Pinot.

Bubbles 1 – Kuesh Extremis Brut Nature Rosé, Armenia
100% Areni
100% Areni grapes are sourced from various old vine vineyards in Khachik Village, Armenia. The perfect storm of limestone soil and volcanic rock ripened by the sun on high elevation vineyards. Areni is an ancient Armenian varietal that has survived millennia in these soils.
Made in the traditional method of second fermentation in the bottle. Aged on the lees for at least 22 months before disgorgement, no additional sugar added. This bone dry wine is expressive with nuances of red fruits and notes of biscuit, driven by zesty acidity and strong mineral notes. Perfect an aperitif or an accompaniment to light snacks.

a refined and elegant white wine that beautifully expresses the unique qualities of the Nascetta grape and the Langhe terroir. Crisp and lively, showcasing a harmonious balance between acidity and fruit. The citrus and tropical fruit flavors from the nose carry through, with layers of lemon zest, grapefruit, and pineapple. A subtle hint of savory herbs adds complexity, while the mineral undertones enhance the wine's refreshing character.
Nascetta remains fairly obscure, but it might not be for long. It has a full, vivacious mouthfeel; high acidity; and considerable structure for a white wine.
Food pairings: Japanese and Asian spiced dishes. Try chicken drumsticks with sweet Chile barbecue sauce.
