2020 Mauricio Lorca Reserve Cabernet, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina |
Harvested fresh off an Uco Valley mountaintop in Mendoza – from a vineyard at 3,400 ft! Seductive – smooth and spicy, like roasted red peppers fresh off a sizzling grill. And it’s super complex from its time aging in deluxe French oak. Nose of leather, plum, baking spice. Rich ruby color with soft edges, medium plus tannin, balanced acidity and a smooth finish that lingers just a touch. Pop it in the fridge for 20 minutes to cool it down, then serve. Good as an aperitif with aged cheeses. Ideal with poultry, veal, fish and all kinds of red meat as well as with grilled fruit desserts.

2011 Chateau Massereau Cuvee K Bordeax Superieur, Barsac, Bordeaux, France |
(25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot and 15% Petit Verdot) Château Massereau doesn’t follow the Bordeaux rulebook. Located in Barsac but working well beyond the sweet-wine tradition, the Chaigneau family farms old vines organically and bottles with minimal sulfur—making some of the region’s most unconventional and soulful reds.
Cuvée K 2011 is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc from low-yielding vines, fermented with native yeasts and bottled unfiltered. Over a decade on, it’s mellowed into something quietly complex: dried black cherry, leather, tobacco, and forest floor, with earthy tannins and a whisper of wildness that speaks to its natural roots.
This is Bordeaux stripped of artifice, no new oak, no polish, just time, soil, and intent. For those used to glossy Right Bank reds, it’s a revelation in texture and honesty. Pair with roast lamb, lentils, or a long conversation. Decant gently, it’s alive.

2023 Les Cadrans de Lassegue, St. Emilion Grand Cru |
(74% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon) A magnificent, intense, and brilliant ruby color. On the nose, aromas of black fruit like blackberry and black currant are immediately apparent, with a lovely freshness that evolves into subtle notes of violet and spice. The palate is vibrant, fruity, and balanced. With tannins already well-integrated, the long, mineral finish testifies to the quality of the clay-gravel-siliceous soils of their vineyards.

2022 10 Ninths Chardonnay, Sta Rita Hills, Santa Barbara County |
Utterly clean and delicious aromas of lemon meringue, chiseled chalk and chipped flint show on the attention-grabbing nose of this bottling. There’s a lively acidity and chalky grip to the palate, where tight Asian pear and jicama flavors align.

2021 10 Ninths Radius. Sta Rita Hills, Santa Barbara County |
Velvety berry fruit and elegant structure are the orders of the day. Supple and focused, it is supremely clear and precise, with beautiful curves. Tea leaves, blood orange, and sweet black cherry flesh out, expanding like a peacock’s tail on the epically long finish.
Meticulously hand-picked, sorted, and fermented each sub-block in small, open-top tanks. This approach provided valuable insights into the specific attributes of the soils and clone selections on the property. It was a year dedicated to laying the groundwork for the vineyard’s renaissance, adopting a no-compromise philosophy to cultivate the most expressive, authentic wines from our estate. A thoughtful inclusion of stems (whole cluster) was employed in select fermentations to enhance complexity and texture. Following a brief cold soak period, the fermenters were allowed to warm, facilitating spontaneous (natural yeast) fermentations. During fermentation, the tanks were punched down to ensure optimal extraction. Post-fermentation, the wines were pressed, with press wine kept separate, and underwent malolactic fermentation and aging in French oak, with a modest percentage being new.

2024 Hamilton Russell Pinot Noir, Hermanus, Hemel-en-Arde Vly, South Africa |
This is from low-vigor, stony, clay-rich soil, cool maritime mesoclimate, naturally tiny yields of well under 35 hl/ha and their philosophy of expressing our terroir in our wines – give rise to a certain tightness, tannin line and elevated length to balance the richness and generosity of their Pinot noir. Their Pinot noir is not overtly fruity, soft and “sweet” and it generally shows hints of that alluring savory “primal” character along with a dark, spicy, complex primary fruit perfume. It has a spicy, brambly aromatic profile with eucalyptus-like high notes, alongside distant hints of cinnamon, clove and orange zest.
This is a lean-bodied red with good textural backing, giving the wine a firm and silky mid-palate. Fermentation includes 10% whole-bunch fruit, with the remainder destemmed but not crushed, and the wine is matured entirely in new and neutral oak for 10 months. The cool maritime climate of Hemel-en-Aarde, shaped by ocean breezes and clay-rich Bokkeveld soils, supports the wine’s precision and restrained structure.

2024 Stark Conde Monk Stone Chenin Blanc, Jonkershoek Vly, Stellenbosch, S Africa |
The Monk Stone Chenin Blanc gets its name from the large boulder which punctuates the dramatic vineyard block, situated at an elevation of approximately 300m. Hovering high above the valley, this bush-vine vineyard is planted along dramatic terraces which were sculpted to prevent rain erosion. The wave and ripple patterns formed by these terraces, together with the large boulder recall a traditional Japanese rock garden, and hence the name “Monk Stone”.Â
A well-balanced white, with succulent acidity buoying flavors of ripe green melon, kiwifruit and honeysuckle, plus hints of quinine and almond skin. Vibrant & mouth filling, unspools lime, apricot, pineapple & quince, creamy spice, too, from 9 months lees-stirring in seasoned barrel. Bottled unfiltered to keep site expression intact. Clean-cut on the minerally finish. Drink now through 2030.

(85% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot) Brilliant ruby red in color, on the nose this wine offers scents of red fruits, plums, and violets. 2025 Nortico Alvarinho Vinho Regional Minho, Portugal |
Nortico Alvarinho is a tribute to the artisan grape growers and tile makers of northern Portugal. This wine showcases the Alvarinho grape, capturing the taste of coastal Portugal in every sip. It’s a “farm-to-table” wine, sourced from old vines planted near the Minho River, located in the villages of Monção and Melgaço. These subregions are enclosed in a semi-circle of hills that protect it from the Atlantic winds, providing cold, rainy winters and hot, dry summers- ideal for producing wines of great quality. The label design pays tribute to the region’s rich tradition of local craftsmanship, drawing inspiration from the hand-painted “azulejos” or tiles that grace the buildings throughout this area. Crafted by winemaker Alberto Orte, Nortico is sourced from over 100 small vineyard plots, offering a beautiful expression of the land’s distinctive character, and featuring notes of fresh citrus, peach, and saline minerality.
